Anthony Martial is ‘worried’ about his Manchester United future and wants reassurances from manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of the new season, according to reports.

France international Martial endured an underwhelming campaign last season, scoring 11 goals and making just two assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.

During the previous summer, Martial desperately pushed for a move away from Old Trafford after falling out with the then-boss Jose Mourinho.

He regained his place in United’s starting line-up under Solskjaer and enjoyed his relationship with the Norwegian despite the team’s struggles throughout the 2018-19 season.

Solskjaer was one of the main reasons Martial committed his long-term future to Manchester United by penning a new five-year deal at the club in January.

Despite signing a bumper contract worth £250,000-a-week, Martial continues to be linked with a departure from the Theatre of Dreams and is ‘worried’ by the speculation.

PSG and Inter Milan are both believed to be interested in signing Martial and The Sun say he is keen to discuss his future at United with Solskjaer over the coming weeks.

It is claimed Martial will seek out his manager when he returns to the club for pre-season following his summer holiday, to speak about his role in the team and the transfer rumours.

A United source told The Sun: ‘Anthony has been worried about where the land lies and wants a sit-down.

‘We know he had a poor season by his high standards but there is something about him for sure.

‘Ole has him down as a big part of his plans but Anthony just a wants to know if there has been a shift in attitude.’

Marcus Rashford, meanwhile, has signed a new deal that will keep him at Manchester United until at least 2023.

‘Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven,’ the England ace said.

‘This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person, so it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt.

‘I want to thank Ole and his staff for everything they have done for me; they are the perfect group of coaches to learn from as I continue my development and look to push on to the next level.

‘I will be giving everything I have to help get this club back to where it belongs and deliver the success that our fans deserve.’
