Manchester United travel to Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes in the south of Spain to take on La Liga side Granada CF on Thursday evening.
United have included Marcus Rashford in their squad for the Europa League quarter-final first leg, despite limping off injured against Brighton last weekend, but he isn’t expected to play the full 90 minutes.
Anthony Martial has been ruled out by a knee injury, which was picked up on international duty for France, with Phil Jones also ruled out long-term.
Juan Mata, Alex Telles, Amad and Anthony Elanga have also been named in the Reds squad ahead of the game.
So, what team could Solskjaer go with against Granada? And, what could the final score be?
We used FIFA 21 to get a unique score prediction.
We simulated Granada vs Manchester United to get a score prediction
To set up this simulation, we used kick-off mode within FIFA 21 but didn’t select a team to control; we then selected the teams and watched the match play out by itself, to give us a prediction.
The AI difficulty was set to legendary, with the line-up updated with the latest transfers, injuries and suspensions.
We predict that Granada could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Silva; Vallejo, Sanchez, Duarte, Diaz; Gonalons, Herrera; Kenedy, Molina, Puertas; Soldado.
We predict that United could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; McTominay, Fred; Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba; Cavani.
The first half was devoid of any goals or any real chances, with United dominating possession but not creating much going forwards.
However just eight minutes into the second half, United found the breakthrough.
Following a short corner, Bruno Fernandes gave the ball to Scott McTominay, who slipped a pass into Edinson Cavani in the box.
The Uruguayan showed a real killer instinct inside the box to take a touch and smash a finish into the near post from close range.
Granada were mostly pragmatic throughout the game and looking to concede as few chances as possible, with their only real chance coming from a long-range free-kick, with former Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado striking an effort just over David De Gea’s goal.
United finished off the game and probably the tie with seven minutes remaining, with Cavani scoring his second of the game.
Fernandes played a brilliantly weighted pass into the striker inside the area, who finished into the near post once again to make it 2-0.
