Liverpool signed Thiago Alcantara, Manchester United are still in the hunt for Jadon Sancho, while Arsenal got their main job done: Keeping captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and are trying to bring Lyon’s Houssem Aouar to the Emirates.
Blades considering Sturridge move?
The Mail say Sheffield United are considering a move for Daniel Sturridge as they are kept waiting in their pursuit of Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster.
Former Liverpool and Chelsea man Sturridge has been a free agent since leaving Turkish side Trabzonspor in March, when he was handed a four-month ban for breaching betting rules.

Dias’ final Benfica game?
Benfica defender Ruben Dias looks to have all-but confirmed his imminent move to Manchester City after scoring in his side’s 2-0 win over Moreinense tonight.
“This was a special moment for me & I think everyone understands why,” he told Benfica TV, with reports suggesting the deal will be wrapped up in the coming days, with Nicolas Otamendi potentially heading in the opposite direction.
Thiago Silva’s Premier League debut did not exactly go to plan tonight.
The Brazilian was handed a first league start and the captain’s armband for Chelsea’s trip to West Brom but made a horrendous first-half error as the Baggies raced into a 3-0 first-half lead and was eventually sacrificed for Olivier Giroud as the Blues pushed to rescue a point late on.
Spurs interest in Skriniar confirmed
Inter Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed Tottenham are interested in signing Milan Skriniar.
Ausilio has also confirmed they have held talks with Tottenham over a potential deal, revealing they told the London club they’re not interested in selling the defender.
“Tottenham are interested in Milan Skriniar. We had a meeting but we told them we don’t want to sell also Skriniar after Diego Godin,” Ausilio said, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal preparing second Aouar bid
In yet more news surround the Lyon playmaker, Football.London are reporting Arsenal are preparing a second bid for Houssem Aouar.
After their initial approach was rejected, Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer £36.5million for the midfielder.
According to RMC Sport, that would fall significantly short of the French club’s valuation.
Lyon to demand £46m for Aouar
RMC Sport are reporting Lyon will demand €50 million (£46m) for Houssem Aouar this window.
Arsenal are interested in signing the playmaker, but while L’Equipe have reported they’ve agreed personal terms with Aouar, they’re yet to agree a deal with Lyon.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas earlier today took to Twitter to confirm Arsenal are “nowhere near” a deal.

Fulham closing in on Lookman
Fulham are in advanced talks to sign Ademola Lookman on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig, according to Sky Sports.
The forward – who left Everton for £22.5million last summer – was left out of Leipzig’s squad against Bayer Leverkusen today.
Leipzig confirmed Lookman was absent “due to ongoing transfer discussions”.
Tottenham target Skriniar on Inter bench
There’s some interesting news for Tottenham fans coming from Italy, in that Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar has been left on the bench for their match against Fiorentina.
According to Sun Sport, Tottenham are in talks with the 25-year-old, who wants to join Jose Mourinho’s side.
Mourinho is said to be a big fan of the 25-year-old having watched the central defender for years, and the player’s agent is reportedly holding talks with the board to explain his desire to leave.
Union Berlin in talks over Liverpool’s Karius

Discussions are currently taking place over a one-year loan deal, which could be completed early next week.
Koeman responds to Depay, Martinez links
Ronald Koeman has responded to claims Barcelona will look to sign either Lautaro Martinez or Memphis Depay this window.
Having sold Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid on Friday, the Catalans may move to bring in another forward ahead of the October 5 window closure.
“Nothing is ruled out,” Koeman said on Saturday when asked about possible moves for the Lyon and Inter Milan forwards, Barca’s two top targets to strengthen their forward line.
“But as I have said, I am focused on the players who are here. Barca always has to be prepared to strengthen [the squad].”
Kepa dropped, Silva starts vs West Brom
The big news from Frank Lampard’s Chelsea team selection to face West Brom today is that Kepa Arrizabalaga has been dropped to the bench.
The young Spaniard was yet again at fault in Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out.
And though new signing Edouard Mendy is not yet available to make the squad, Kepa has been replaced by Willy Caballero, with his time at the club perhaps coming to an end.
Meanwhile, Thiago Silva makes his first start for his new team – and he’s been named captain!
Roma and Milan in Aarons chase
Italian giants AC Milan and Roma are the latest club to have registered their interest in Norwich City defender Max Aarons, according to Sky Sports.
The right-back is also being tracked by both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
The German champions will only attempt to sign Aarons if they fail to sign Sergino Dest from Ajax, however.
Dias set to fly to Manchester
Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias will fly to Manchester to complete a proposed transfer after playing today against Moreirense, according to TVI24.
The defender will reportedly sign a deal worth up to €80m (£73m), with €50m (£45.6m) upfront to Benfica, plus €15m (£13.6m) in bonuses.
The deal is reportedly “done”, with Nicolas Otamendi – reportedly valued at €15million to move the other way.

Inter eyeing Smalling move
Inter Milan are looking at a potential swoop for Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling, report Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The Italian giants reportedly view the 30-year-old as a potential replacement for Milan Skriniar, who is linked with Spurs.
Smalling impressed during a season-long loan with Roma last campaign.
Torreira determined to seal Atletico move
Lucas Torreira is determined to complete a move from Arsenal to Atletico Madrid, according to ESPN.
The two clubs are reportedly close to sealing a loan move, though Arsenal are looking for a permanent move, which Atletico are unsure of.
Arsenal were hopeful of subsidising a move for Thomas Partey with Torreira’s sale, but the Spanish club insist the midfielder will only leave if his release clause is met.

Moutinho excited by Silva potential
Joao Moutinho insists Wolves’ record signing Fabio Silva has “great potential” and expects him to showcase his skills imminently.
The 18-year-old joined from Porto in a £35million, and though missing a sitter in his debut against Stoke, Moutinho has no doubts he’ll reach top form.
“He has great potential. He’s a young guy who needs to continue to work, to show the qualities he has,” he said.
“I think he has everything to show how good he is, and we will try to help him improve and learn every day with us – and with Raul (Jimenez) as they play the same position.”
Trio chase Chelsea’s Rudiger
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is attracting interest from European giants Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Roma, report Goal.
The Blues are reportedly hoping to sell the centre-back this transfer window, though they may have to settle for a loan move.
The German international has once again been left out of Chelsea’s squad to face West Brom tomorrow, having been left out against Liverpool and Barnsley.
Lyon president issues Aouar update
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has taken to twitter to issue an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Houssem Aouar, and it doesn’t sound good for Arsenal.
He tweeted: “There will be very few departures. For Houssem, Arsenal are too far from his value.
“We are counting on him to play a great game in Lorient and lead Lyon into the Champions League next year.”
Jenas: Dele Alli should leave Tottenham
Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has urged Dele Alli to leave Spurs, insisting the treatment the midfielder is receiving from Jose Mourinho “doesn’t sit right” with him.
The 24-year-old was described by Mourinho as “my No.10” on his arrival last November, and Alli’s form instantly and improved, epitomised by his exquisite touch and finish in their December defeat to Manchester United.
Alli now finds himself on the periphery of Mourinho’s squad, however, playing just 60 minutes in their Europa League qualifier in North Macedonia having been left out of Tottenham’s previous two matchday squads.

Fulham in talks with Barcelona defender
Fulham are now among the clubs in talks to sign Jean Clair Todibo from Barcelona on a permanent deal.
Fabrizio Romano claims the Cottagers have joined Everton in the race for the defender although the Merseysiders have only made a loan offer thus far.

When does the 2020 summer transfer window close?
The window is now open for 10 weeks from July 27.
Following consultation with the EFL, a domestic-only window will be added from 5 October, closing 5pm on 16 October.
During this window, Premier League clubs will only be able to trade with EFL clubs (either loans or permanent registrations). No transfers can take place between Premier League clubs in this period.
