Taxi for Matic! Pogba perfects driving skills as he pretends to be a cab driver at United training

2 min read

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been perfecting his skills behind the wheel as he stepped in as a taxi driver around the club’s training ground.

The Frenchman, who has recently returned to action after a long-term injury, was filmed picking up his team-mate Nemanja Matic in a buggy and driving him around the car park at Carrington.

Matic filmed himself being picked up by his midfield partner and posted it to his Instagram with the caption: ‘I really recommend this taxi service, best in the UK, driver very friendly and helpful’.

The Serbian international calls: ‘Taxi!’, as Pogba spins around the corner and comes to pick him up.

After Pogba asks him where he is going, Matic asks to be dropped off at the canteen to have some lunch.

Once they arrive at the destination, Pogba insists that he would not charge Matic for the ride, as the two continue to joke around at the training centre.

Pogba is reportedly close to agreeing a new five-year deal at United, after a couple years of strong links between him and Real Madrid.

The 27-year-old has impressed in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s midfield since his return alongside January signing Bruno Fernandes.

Pogba’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season though United have the option of extending for another 12 months.

A new contract until 2025 would represent a long-term commitment from both club and player.
