Ryan Giggs believes Manchester United have a potential star on their hands in Dylan Levitt, after being left highly impressed with the youngster’s ability among his Wales team.
United legend Giggs is currently manager of the Welsh side and called up the 19-year-old to his squad last year. Although he has yet to hand him his debut, he admits he will be looking to press him towards first-team chances ahead of next summer’s European Championship.
‘When Dylan was in the squad, we had must-win games, so I couldn’t really throw him in and put him in that pressure cooker,’ the Wales boss told MUTV.

‘But, in training, he’s one of the best. He’s my kind of player – a good character, quiet but tough, and he’s one that I’ll be taking a big look at over the next year or so.
‘I want him to develop and if he does and, if he plays more games, then he’ll definitely be in the reckoning. He’s a really intelligent player with a good range of passing and he stands out in training in every session.
Levitt has just one cap at Under 21 level but admitted that despite having to wait for his first senior appearance he has found the experience to be around Giggs’ squad highly beneficial.
Marked as a future star by Wales boss Ryan Giggs, the midfielder has one United appearance and one Under 21 cap (pictured right playing for the Under 19s in 2019) to his name
‘Obviously, when I’ve been going away with them, I’ve not really played, but just being around them is amazing,’ he said.
‘I’ve seen the quotes from the manager and it really means a lot to hear that from someone who has achieved so much in the game.’
The midfielder managed to make his Manchester United debut earlier this season when he started in a Europa League defeat at Astana back in November.
