Romelu Lukaku staged an impromptu Manchester United reunion inside the Inter Milan dressing room as celebrations over their Serie A title victory continued.
Inter were confirmed as Serie A champions over the weekend for the first time in 11 years, with Lukaku’s celebrations as he drove around Milan to celebrate going viral.
The Belgian forward had plenty of cause for celebration, with the league title being his first trophy since helping Anderlecht win the Belgian Pro League in 2009/10.
After aiming a dig at Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Twitter over the title win, Lukaku now appears to have sent a message towards Manchester United.
Lukaku posted a picture of himself with three former United players, all of whom were at Old Trafford at the same time before making the switch to Inter.
Alongside Lukaku were Ashley Young, Alexis Sanchez and Matteo Darmian, with all four players wearing Inter Milan Scudetto t-shirts.
Young subsequently reposted the photo on Twitter, adding eye emojis along with a trophy, blue and black hearts and a devil horn hand symbol.
The four players enjoyed varying levels of success at United, with Young spending nine years at the club and Sanchez being regarded as an expensive disaster following his move from Arsenal in 2018.
Young has become the first Englishman to win both the Premier League and Serie A and, speaking to Sky Sports, said he believes it vindicates his decision to leave United in January last year.
“That sounds unbelievable to be honest,” he said of his accolade.
“It’s obviously nice to win the Premier League and then to go to a new league and win that as well is just incredible, an unbelievable feeling.
“It’s never easy to leave a club in January, but I’m looking back now and I think I made the right decision. I always wanted to go out and win. I’ve got that ambition, drive and desire to win.

“Obviously the first season we got to the Europa League final which unfortunately we lost.
“We also lost the league by one point and I think that might have spurred us on for this season to go out and get ourselves a trophy and win Serie A.
“Going out there and making that decision, I think it was the best one I made.”
