Manchester United will be looking to build on their morale-boosting victory against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek with another win as they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford.
The Reds have won four of their last six matches against the west London club in all competitions.
Chelsea splashed the cash during the summer to bring in a host of top talent including German pair Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, but have seen performances plagued with defensive errors so far this season.
United, meanwhile, go into the game in good form having won their two games since the international break, banishing the demons from their 6-1 loss to Tottenham at the start of the month.
Mark Lawrenson, BBC Sport
“Like Manchester United, Chelsea’s biggest problem this season has been at the back.
“I watched them against Southampton last weekend and they just capitulated. It has not been a one-off and Blues boss Frank Lampard is probably thinking ‘who the heck do I play there?’
“At least Lampard has goalkeeper Edouard Mendy fit for Saturday because, as good as Chelsea are going forward, they cannot defend.”
Prediction: 2-0 to United
Dimitar Berbatov, Betfair
“This is a huge game, after a huge week for United. It’s a big week for Chelsea too, but in a slightly different way.
“Chelsea did the same as Spurs at the weekend, and it is clear they have a problem of some sort. I think both teams are evenly enough matched, and a draw is a likely result.”

Michael Owen, BetVictor
“On Saturday evening Manchester United host Chelsea at Old Trafford. This will be the first time that United have played at home since their humiliating 6-1 defeat against Spurs.
“Chelsea, yet again, surrendered what looked a comfortable lead last week at home to Southampton. I don’t see much between these two and given that neither team have clicked so far this season, I think a draw is the most likely result.”
