Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed their 23-man squad for Wednesday night’s Champions League game against Manchester United.
United host the French champions at Old Trafford, needing one further point to quality from Group H for the knockout stages of Europe’s premier competition.
Having beaten PSG in the French capital in October and in a famous win back in March 2019, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will again be looking to repeat the trick. And they have been helped by the confirmation that several of Thomas Tuchel’s players are unavailable through injury.
PSG confirmed on their official website that Pablo Sarabia, Mauro Icardi, Julian Draxler, Juan Bernat, Kays Ruiz and Jese Rodriguez will not travel to Manchester. Their squad does include former United players Angel di Maria and Ander Herrera, however, as well as world-class forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
The game could see Edinson Cavani make his first United start since joining in the summer. The Uruguayan left PSG in the summer upon the expiry of his contract before sealing a deal at United and already has three goals for his new club, including a match-winning brace after coming off the bench at Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
United will be without Luke Shaw due to injury, while Axel Tuanzebe is suspended. Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, David de Gea and Anthony Martial are among those doubtful for Solskjaer’s men.
PSG squad for United game:
Mitchel Bakker, Colin Dagba, Angel di Maria, Pereira Danilo, Abdou Diallo, Bandiougou Fadiga, Alessandro Florenzi, Idrissa Gueue, Ander Herrrera, Moise Keane, Thilo Kehrer, Presnel Kimpembe, Layvin Kurzawa, Alexandre Letellier, Marquinhos, Kylian Mbappe, Keylor Navas, Neymar, Leandro Paredes, Timothée Pembele, Rafinha, Sergio Rico, Marco Verratti.
