Moussa Dembele insists he wants to ‘enjoy a great season at Lyon’, amid speculation linking him with a transfer to Manchester United.
The former Fulham striker impressed as a second half substitute to help the Ligue 1 side come from behind and secure the Emirates Cup following a 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Dembele was introduced at half-time by new Lyon manager, the former Arsenal left-back, Sylvinho an equalised with an adroit near post header following Memphis Depay’s cross and turned the game on its head when he benefited from Shkodran Mustafi‘s error and produced a composed finish to beat Bernd Leno.
The 23-year-old, who left Celtic in controversial circumstances last summer following a falling out with Brendan Rodgers, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, but the Frenchman insists he remains committed to the Ligue 1 club.
‘The most important thing is that we won. I want to be an undisputed starter this season.
‘I’m going to have perform well consistently. I want to have a great season with Lyon.’
