However, Telles has since tested negative – meaning the test may have just detected old strains of the virus that are still present in the Brazilian.
Telles missed four matches as a result of his positive test before the break and United are particularly desperate for him to return given Luke Shaw is less than midway through a six-week absence with a hamstring strain.
