Manchester United will listen to offers for defender Eric Bailly once the Ivorian commits his long-term future to the club.
The defender has 18 months to run on his existing contract at the Theatre of Dreams and the club are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal until around 2025.
While Bailly is admired by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Ivorian’s failure to stay fit consistently means he cannot be relied upon to partner Harry Maguire in the heart of United’s defence.
Solskjaer is keen to sign a new centre-back this summer and the Sun claim United will listen to offers for Bailly once he pens a new deal.
It’s claimed negotiations are already underway between the club and Bailly’s representatives, with a three-year deal in the offing for the former Villarreal man.
United are interested in Sevilla defender Jules Kounde but his £68m price tag may persuade the club to look at other targets, such as Nikola Milenkovic and RB Leipzig ace Ibrahima Konate.
Solskjaer is set to be handed a budget of around £150m this summer, a large portion of which will be spent on signing a top centre-back.
United remain interested in Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and hope to sign the England international for well below the club’s previous £108m asking price.
