Manchester United have launched a €40 million (£35m) offer to sign Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Dani Olmo, according to reports in Croatia.
The 21-year-old was one of Spain’s top performers as he helped his nation win the European Under-21 Championship earlier this month.
Olmo scored three goals during the tournament and was named man of the match for his display in the final as Spain beat Germany to lift the trophy.
According to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti, Olmo has attracted serious interest from Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side are willing to spend £35m to bring the midfielder to the Premier League.
The report also claims that Olmo has attracted interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
United are in the market for a new midfielder following the departure of Ander Herrera and Olmo represents a versatile option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he is capable of playing on either flank, as well as through the middle.
Olmo joined Barcelona’s academy at the age of nine but joined Dinamo as part of the swap deal which saw Alen Halilovic move to Camp Nou in 2015.
Olmo has scored 17 goals and registered 15 assists in 71 league appearances for Dinamo.
The midfielder also won best player and best young player awards for his performances for Dinamo in the Croatian First Football League last season.
