Manchester United are likely to include Alex Telles and Axel Tuanzebe in their defence to take on West Brom on Saturday night.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones were out of the Premier League clash, while Eric Bailly and Mason Greenwood are unlikely to be risked.
Victor Lindelof has a back issue that could mean Tuanzebe deputises at centre-back alongside Harry Maguire, while Marcus Rashford has had a shoulder injury, though could start alongside Anthony Martial up front.
Solskjaer has entrusted Scott McTominay, Fred and Juan Mata in his midfield in recent weeks and all three could again start, with Paul Pogba potentially on the bench again.
“The short version is Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones are the only ones who didn’t join in parts of the training today,” Solskjaer said in his press conference. “They’re at different stages.
“Some of them had recovery after the international on Wednesday and travelled and are working back after injury and fitness and we’ll make a decision tonight but most of them have joined in today and some joined in yesterday, so looking good.
“Rashford and Lindelof? Possibles, but some of them are probably some doubts. Marcus joined in for the first time today, hopefully there’s no reaction, I’m not sure.
“Bailly, that was his first day [back in training] today, so no. Him and Marcos Rojo joined for the first time in a month, at least, so they’re not ready. Victor, we’ll have to check tomorrow because his back is not great.”
Predicted XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Telles; Fred, McTominay; Mata, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial.
