The Manchester United midfielder is reportedly eager to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season and link up with Zinedine Zidane at Real.
Zidane has spoken openly about his admiration for Pogba and the Frenchman has returned the compliments in the media when asked about a potential move to Spain.
However, Marca claim Pogba can only join Zidane’s ranks if he takes a big pay cut with United slapping a mammoth price on his head.
Pogba earns around £15million a year at United and Real are prepared to match or improve on those wages.
United are reluctant to sell Pogba, but will sell the World Cup winner if their £130m asking price is met.
With Real rushing to seal the signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea and Christian Eriksen from Tottenham, the club is hesitant about spending such a fortune on Pogba.
However, if Pogba dramatically lowers his wage demands and Zidane is insistent about signing him, then Real would sanction the £130m deal.
Pogba is under contract at United until 2021 and will need to push for the move to convince the Red Devils to sell.
The transfer saga is set to be one of the stand-out stories of the summer, with United set for a busy window as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer targets a major squad overhaul.
