Manchester United have added Amad Diallo and Phil Jones to their Europa League squad for the knockout stage.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer omitted Jones, 28, from the Champions League group stage squad due to injury and the centre-back is still sidelined.
Diallo, 18, completed his £37million move to United from Atalanta last month and is eligible to appear in the competition after playing in the Champions League this season.
United travel to Real Sociedad for their round-of-32 first leg on February 18 and host the sixth-placed La Liga side on February 25 in the return leg. Sociedad were top of La Liga at the time of the draw.
Sergio Romero has been excluded from United’s squad list again, having failed to make United’s domestic and European squads at the start of the season. Romero, 33, could leave for a Major League Soccer side when the American transfer window opens later this month. Nathan Bishop has been added as United’s fourth ‘keeper.
Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams have not been listed by United as they qualify for the club’s B-list. A B-list player is defined as someone born after January 1 1999 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday.
