The former Dortmund star is yet to start a Premier League match under Thomas Tuchel, despite the German giving Pulisic his first team debut in the Bundesliga at the age of 17.
Tuchel apologised to Pulisic following Monday’s win against Everton for leaving the USA international out of the victory against the Toffees, while he expressed his sadness that he was yet to give the midfielder a chance to impress.
‘I can say nothing else but good things about him. Maybe his biggest problem is that I know him from Dortmund and I think he started only in the cup games,’ said Tuchel after the win against Everton.
Nevertheless, with such competition in the wide areas at Stamford Bridge, Pulisic could look at leaving the club if his exile continues and the Daily Mail claim Manchester United and Liverpool are looking at his situation.
It’s claimed Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Pulisic but the Bavarians are well-stocked in wide areas following the signing of Leroy Sane.
While it appears unlikely that Chelsea would sanction Pulisic’s departure to a Premier League rival, Tuchel has bemoaned the size of his squad since moving to Stamford Bridge.
It’s clear that the German wishes to cut down the size of the squad this summer and Pulisic could fetch around £60m in the transfer market.
Pulisic suffered a similarly peculiar start to life under Lampard, before convincing the former Derby coach after around six months at the club that he was good enough to be a regular.
