Manchester United 2021/22 away shirt ‘leaked’ in new images

2 min read

Images of Manchester United’s rumoured away shirt for the 2021/2022 season have been ‘leaked’ on social media – drawing a mixed reaction from fans.

Posted by Stretty News on Twitter, the white and blue combination gives us a first look at how Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side could be kitted beyond the summer, with supporters hopefully set to return in their thousands to Old Trafford.

Featuring an all-red United crest and Adidas logo, the strip gives off strong ‘early 90s vibes’ and has been likened to the strip worn on the road between 1990 and 1992 – prior to the dominant Premier League era.

Indeed, swap the likes of Steve Bruce and Brian McClair for current crop Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford and you may not be too far away if this sneak peek is anything to go by.

There are still a number of things to be ironed out, such as a new main club sponsor to replace Chevrolet and whether or not the shirt will come with Champions League badges…

That, plus shorts and socks, can be left for the future, though, as supporters share their views on these ‘leaked’ images, which have been met with a largely positive response so far online;
