Telles gives update after testing positive for Covid-19
After an impressive debut in the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain, Alex Telles has been absent from the team, and Solskjaer revealed that this has been due to him contracting coronavirus.
The Brazilian has been receiving messages of support from fans, and thanked them for their kindness via Instagram.
“Guys, I want to thank you for the messages of affection that I received from the moment that United announced that I have been diagnosed with COVID-19,” he wrote.
You can see what else he and Solskjaer had to say about the matter here.
Maguire on Champions League debut
United’s 5-0 win over RB Leipzig was an important occasion for Harry Maguire, as the Reds captain was making his debut in the Champions League.
And while it was a proud night for him and his family, as he explained to MUTV, Maguire is more pleased by the fact United have recovered from the defensive issues which plagued their start to the 2020/21 season.
“The first three games we conceded far too many chances, so as a defensive unit we knew we had to improve and be more solid,” he said.
“Since the international break, we’ve gone back to not conceding chances like we weren’t last season.”
Maguire’s full interview can be read here, as he also talks about the depth of the United squad, and the team’s need for consistency.
United have learned from Pogba mistake
United have often struggled to get the best out of Paul Pogba during his time with the club, but there’s no doubt when he plays well the whole team does too.
Despite that he has been playing less since the last international break, he has arguably been having more of an impact from the substitutes’ bench than he was when starting.
