Man Utd hatch Jadon Sancho transfer plan and are hopeful of discount on £108m deal

“However, United believe that if they leave the final negotiation until the final week of the window, that Dortmund – who don’t have any offers for the player and want to maximise their profits – will cave in and agree to the terms that United have already offered.

“Manchester United’s quarterly reports are due next week for the three months when Covid shut football down, and board members have been warned that they will not look good, because the revenue for matchday revenue etc are going to be completely wiped out. That will have an impact on what United will spend.

“The belief is that there will be a further decline on football finances in the next 12 months, and Dortmund will realise they have to cash in on Sancho at a very high rate of profit, and United will get – not a hugely different deal – but a better deal than the one they believed they’d agreed.

“Barring a catastrophic collapse of all the talks which have taken place and the verbal talks which have been agreed, Jadon Sancho will be a Manchester United player before the window closes next month.”
