Man United tipped to sign Sancho and two other players before deadline

2 min read

Manchester United are still active in the transfer market as they look to bolster their squad before the transfer deadline, which is at 11pm on October 5th.

Donny van de Beek remains Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s only new recruit after a summer of frustration chasing Jadon Sancho.

MEN Sport understands the Borussia Dortmund winger remains United’s top transfer target but a fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs.

The bookmakers too, are tipping a deal for Sancho to go through, as well as a few other deals at very short odds.

Here, we take a look at who the bookies’ think could arrive at Old Trafford before the deadline.

Jadon Sancho – 4/17

Sancho remains the name on everyone’s lips and, unsurprisingly, Manchester United are favourites to be the club that signs him before the window ends.

United are as short as 4/7 to get the deal over the line, with Arsenal next on the list at 10/1, surprisingly.

A return to Manchester City is 12/1 and the same for Liverpool, with Real Madrid at 16/1.

Dayot Upamencano – 2/1

Despite signing a fresh contract with RB Leipzig, there is speculation Dayot Upamecano could still leave the Bundesliga club.

Arsenal have been long-time admirers of the Frenchman which is reflected in their 1/1 odds.

United come in at 2/1, with Bayern Munich at 4/1 and a move to Spain priced at 8/1.

Manchester City look set to sign Ruben Dias but should a move fall through, he’s a 10/1 shout with the bookies.

Moussa Dembele – 1/1

Moussa Dembele was tracked by Manchester United last summer but a move never materialised.

In August, MEN Sport reported the French forward hadn’t ruled out the possibility of leaving Lyon this summer but sources close to the player reiterated ‘he is not desperate to move’.

Should United reignite their interest, they are favourites for his signature at 1/1 on.

Chelsea are next at 3/1 despite their heavy forward spending, with Arsenal and Tottenham at 8/1.

A move to any Italian club can be backed at 12/1.
