Manchester United are looking to add competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the upcoming transfer windows, according to reports.
However, there have been continued concerns about the attacking aspect of his game, with just four assists and a single goal to his name in his 59 appearances for the club so far.
According to ESPN, United are worried about the lack of development in the 23-year-old’s attacking skills, and believe it’s making the team less threatening as a result.
United have been trying to strengthen the right side of their attack for over year but attempts to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund have so far yielded no results.
It’s reported that Wan-Bissaka has been urged to be more adventurous in the attacking third of the pitch to compensate for the lack of a new right-winger, but he has so far been unconvincing.
The report claims that it’s believed that added competition at right-back will lead to Wan-Bissaka upping his game, but a move for a winger remains a priority.
United are short on options at right-back with only Brandon Williams and Timothy Fosu-Mensah providing back-up to Wan-Bissaka, with Diogo Dalot on loan at AC Milan.
Meanwhile, United are reportedly targeting Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres in a swap deal with Eric Bailly.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim United will offer Bailly back to his former club, with Villarreal asking for £60 million for the highly-rated Torres.
Bailly has struggled with injuries throughout his time at Old Trafford, and has only been able to make four appearances so far this season as a result.
