Man United fans rave about Pellistri after ‘superb’ assist

2 min read

Manchester United fans are getting excited about recent signing Facundo Pellistri following his latest performance for the Under-23s.

The 18-year-old Uruguayan, who arrived at Old Trafford from Penarol last month, set up a goal as United beat Tottenham 4-2 in Premier League 2 on Sunday.

The teenager was making his third competitive appearance for the club, having endured a tough evening on his last outing as a United Under-21 side was beaten 4-0 by Morecambe in the EFL Trophy last week.

And Pellistri quickly made his mark against Spurs at Leigh Sports Village, beating full-back Dennis Cirkin with 13 minutes on the clock before delivering an inviting cross which was headed home by Shola Shoretire.

Supporters were quick to react on social media and will be hoping there is plenty more to come from the winger.

@JPeps6 said on Twitter: “Beauty of a cross, just what the first team lacks on the right atm. Shame he isn’t really ready yet.”

@RhysJames_Sport added: “Great cross. Should see him in the first team next season.”

And @UtdApollo tweeted: “Superb wing play! Nice header too!”

United went on to secure a third successive league win, with Arnau Puigmal bagging a brace before Anthony Elanga sealed the victory in added time.
