Pelistri is making good progress in first-team training sessions, Wood has confirmed.
“It’s not easy to come to a different country and hit the ground running, you see that at the highest level. So it’s great for him to get on the pitch and get some minutes behind him and a bit of match sharpness. It will help him in the long run.
“I know tonight [at Morecambe] is not the ideal situation for him, but it can only benefit him being out on the pitch.”
Chong asked about long-term future at United
Tahith Chong has reaffirmed his desire to have a future at Manchester United as he continues to develop on loan at Werder Bremen.
The Dutch youngster spoke to German outlet BILD about his situation at Old Trafford and about the influence of teammate Juan Mata, but was keen to stress that as much as he is enjoying his time in Bremen his focus remains on United.
“I am very much in the here and now, and avoid looking too much into the future,” he told BILD. “I can say that I feel very comfortable here.
