Manchester City dominate the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, with six players in the divisional XI.
After winning the Premier League title by some distance, City’s key players are represented in the team voted for by fellow professionals.
And there is recognition for two of Manchester United’s best performers too, with Luke Shaw and Bruno Fernandes getting the nod.
In goal, Golden Glove winner Ederson is in the team, as City take up four of the back five positions. Ruben Dias, John Stones and Joao Cancelo are also on the team of the year in recognition of their fine seasons.
In midfield, City’s top scorer Ilkay Gundogan is picked, as is last year’s PFA Player of the Year Kevin De Bruyne. Fernandes completes the midfield trio.
And in attack, Golden Boot and Playmaker winner Harry Kane, who is a transfer target for both City and United, leads the line. He is supported by Tottenham teammate Heung-min Son, and Liverpool winger Mo Salah.
The winners of the PFA Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year will be announced on Sunday night. Dias, Gundogan, De Bruyne and Fernandes are shortlisted for that award, as is City’s Phil Foden, who is also up for the Young Player award.
Mason Greenwood is a representative from United on the Young Player shortlist, while there are representatives from City and United on the women’s Player of the Year shortlists.
