Daniel James has revealed he will ask Paul Pogba what was happening when a strange photo of the pair was taken during a recent match between Wales and Scotland.
An incredibly strong French side – including Pogba, Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema – dispatched the Welsh in a comfortable 3-0 victory, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele.
However, Les Bleus were helped by the fact that Wales were reduced to 10 men after Neco Williams was controversially dismissed with the scores still level.
At one point in the game, James and Pogba paused for a conversation and a photo was then snapped with the winger smiling but his club teammate looking baffled.
James has said he plans to ask Pogba what was going on in the picture, WalesOnline reported.
“It’s one of those untold photos where we just had a conversation,” James explained.
“I think we were both laughing but they caught him on the picture where he is not and he is just looking at me strangely.
“I will have to ask him what was going on in that picture.”
James also revealed that Pogba believes Wales have a great team and could go far in this summer’s tournament.
“I spoke to Paul after the game and he said ‘we’ve got a great team and we’ve got a great chance,’ which is always great to hear,” he added.
“We fully believe in ourselves. We are here for a reason – we are not just here to take part.
“We believe we can go into every game with that winning mentality.”
