FA Cup third-round draw LIVE

1 min read

Manchester United and Manchester City will discover their opponents in the FA Cup third round this evening.

This year’s tournament has already been full of major upsets and massive underdog triumphs and now Premier League and Championship clubs will be entering in the third round.

The second round has been played out this weekend, with non-league clubs like Chorley and Marine advancing to potentially face the big boys. The draw will be held at approximately 7pm this evening, ahead of the final game in the round between Canvey Island and Boreham Wood.

The draw will be televised on BT Sport as part of their coverage of the game and also on BBC One, as well as being streamed the FA’s YouTube, Twitter and Facebook channels.

United haven’t won the FA Cup since they defeated Crystal Palace in the final at Wembley in Louis van Gaal’s last game in charge in 2016. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping he can take his side to the final this year, after losing out in the semis to Chelsea last season.

City were also eliminated in last year’s semi-finals, losing to eventual winners Arsenal, having last won the trophy in 2019 when they obliterated Watford 6-0 in the final.
