Manchester United have no intention of signing any players from further down the English Football League pyramid ahead of next week’s domestic transfer deadline.
United experienced a busy end to the international window which saw the club agree deals for four new players on Monday.
Although Monday marked the closure of the international transfer window the domestic window remains open, with Premier League clubs still free to do business with lower league clubs up until Friday 16 October. Premier League clubs are not permitted to do business with each other.
United had a loan offer with the option to buy Ismaila Sarr for £25million rejected by Championship outfit Watford on deadline day, with the Hornets only interested in a straight sale for the Senegalese winger.
Sarr, 22, only joined Watford last year and United still have a week left, should they wish to make another bid for Sarr, valued at around £45m.
However, MEN Sport understands United currently have no plans to sign any more players this year and are happy with the options already at the club.
As well as Sarr United also looked at Championship players David Brooks and Joe Rodon this summer but didn’t make an official approach for either player.
