Harry Maguire was involved in an amusing exchange with team-mate Eric Bailly following Manchester United’s victory over Manchester City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘s side made a perfect start as they won a penalty inside the opening 30 seconds of the match.
Luke Shaw added a second goal shortly after half-time as United inflicted City’s first defeat since November.
In ending their rivals’ 21-match winning streak, United moved back up to second place in the table.
They are still 11 points adrift of leaders City but have now gone 22 league matches unbeaten away from home.
Maguire helped United keep their 11th clean sheet in the Premier League this season. Only Chelsea (13), Aston Villa (14) and City (15) have kept more.
Afterwards, the skipper took to social media, posting a photograph of him celebrating the victory on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: “One for the fans.”
Fellow defender Bailly, who was an unused substitute at the Etihad, replied with the message: “Top performance captain you have a big head!!!!”
Bailly followed the words with the clapping hands and red heart emojis.
Maguire joined in the banter, responding sarcastically with: “Thanks Eric. Really? I thought my head was small.”
United skipper Maguire revealed during the 2018 World Cup that he had been nicknamed “Slabhead” by his England colleagues on account of his sizeable dome.
