Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo has poured cold water on speculation that he could be set for a move to Manchester United.

Olmo’s outstanding performances as Spain won the European Under-21 Championship this summer caught the attention of a host of top European clubs including United.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored three goals across Spain’s triumphant campaign and was named man of the match in a 2-1 victory over Germany in the final.

Reports had claimed that United bid around €40million (£35m) for Olmo, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also interested in the youngster.

However, the youngster insists he’s unaware of an offer to join the Red Devils this summer.

Asked about rumours linking him with United and Barca, Olmo told Croatian outlet T-Portal: ‘Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it. It’s for my manager Andy Bara and my dad.

‘However, I’m not burdened by this.’

On what he would want from a move, Olmo replied: ‘Very simple – a club where I will play.

‘Because I am still young and for me it is most important that I have minutes.’

United are on the hunt for reinforcements in midfield following Ander Herrera’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Sean Longstaff continues to be linked, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly hopeful of a deal being agreed for the Newcastle midfielder this week.
