Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers insists there’s no ‘cut-off date’ in which the club would no longer consider selling Harry Maguire this summer.

The England international has been the subject of interest from Manchester United and Manchester City this summer with the Foxes turning down an offer from either club for the centre-back.

Leicester value Maguire at around £80m and would seek a replacement should they accept an offer for the defender in the next fortnight.

However, with the window set to close on August 8th, time is running out for the Foxes to sign a replacement and speculation earlier this week suggested the club had a secret date in which they would no longer consider selling Maguire.

But, in a boost for United and City, Rodgers insists there’s no cut-off point.

‘I haven’t really thought about that,’ said Rodgers.

‘We have two weeks left to go in the window for all of the players. I think it’s just a case of everyone staying in focused.’

Ed Woodward stayed in the UK instead of attending the final leg of United’s tour as he wanted to focus on the club’s transfer business.

The Red Devils’ previous offer is believed to be some distance away from the £80m Leicester are demanding and Rodgers insists there’s been no change in recent days.

‘He’s been brilliant since the first day of pre-season,’ Rodgers told the Mercury.

‘There’s a lot of speculation around Harry but he’s just got on with it. Like I’ve always said, we’re all pretty relaxed with it.

‘We’re looking to prepare the whole team and squad and Harry’s a part of that. He was excellent today, he’s working very hard.

‘There’s no discussion. I know you guys are looking for updates but there’s no change from the other night.’
