The Nou Camp club are desperate to sign forward Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the upcoming transfer window but have to sell players as their finances are not in the best shape.
Inter are thought to be keen on Umtiti – they need a defender and Diego Godin, who they signed last summer, is already 34-years-old.
Barcelona have lowered their valuation of defender Samuel Umtiti to just £27million

According to Sport, Barcelona hope the lowered valuation would allow Inter to pay Umtiti the wages he wants as part of any switch.
The report also says that the Catalan side would be keen to get Umtiti’s wages off their books this summer.
There have not been any discussions between Inter and Umtiti yet but Barcelona have told his representatives that they would be willing to let him go.
Inter Milan are thought to be keen but Umtiti would prefer a move to the Premier League
An issue is that Umtiti would prefer a move to the Premier League if he leaves Barcelona in the summer – with both Arsenal and United thought to be keen.
Umtiti is interested in moves to those clubs as a number of his international team-mates play for both sides.
The 26-year-old currently has an injury in the back of his leg yet is hopeful of coming back before the end of the season and impressing Quique Setien.
After the end of the campaign, he will then assess his moves going forward, according to the report.
