Arsenal are weighing up the cost of a deal for Ben White as they consider pursuing their interest in the England new boy.
The Gunners are among the clubs keen on White and have held exploratory talks over a move for the 23-year-old.

Arsenal are looking to bolster their backline and are considering a move for the centre back
With his new status as an England international following his elevation to Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad ahead of the Euros plus a year of Premier League football under his belt, White would also now command a significant wage increase.
He signed a new four-year Brighton deal worth around £35,000 per week last summer and Arsenal are assessing whether they can make a deal for White fit in with their budget.
Their finances will be hit after failing to qualify for Europe next season and they also have a number of positions they hope to strengthen this summer which they need to spread their money across.
One of the priority tasks in Richard Garlick’s in-tray will be to bring White to the Emirates
The new head of football operations will work alongside Edu to get the transfer over the line
New head of football operations Richard Garlick will be tasked with trying to finalise a deal for White should Arsenal decide to firm up their interest.
Following his arrival at the Emirates, Garlick will now work alongside Edu in a two-step approach to getting deals over the line.
Technical director Edu will be involved in the initial recruitment and contact stage with their transfer targets before passing over to Garlick to handle the negotiating.
