The 21-year-old has found himself on the fringes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad and will join up with the Rossoneri to gain more first team experience.
Milan have confirmed the defender will near the No 5 shirt at the San Siro for this season.
Diogo Dalot has joined AC Milan on loan for the season from Manchester United
Dalot has not been in either of United’s squads for their opening two Premier League encounters but did play the full 90 minutes midweek in their 3-0 Carabao Cup victory at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Red Devils announced the deal on their website, stating: ‘Everyone at United wishes Diogo the best of luck for his stay in Italy.’
Dalot arrived at Old Trafford for £20million from Porto in the summer of 2018 and has since then featured 35 times across all competitions.

The right-back, scored his first goal for the club in a 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers back in January but has found himself behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
United are keen to raid Dalot’s former club ahead of deadline day on Monday by bringing in Alex Telles to help bolster their options at left-back.
However Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side look like they will have work to do to get the deal over the line with Porto reportedly having rejected a £15.4million offer.
Porto’s asking price is £22million but United have so far offered £12m and £15.4m for the defender, whose contract expires at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
