Aaron Wan-Bissaka says winning the Premier League is the ultimate target during his time at Manchester United.
The 23-year-old defender has played a key role for United in their unlikely title bid this season, solidifying himself as one of the first names on the team sheet for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Wan-Bissaka endured a difficult start to the campaign, but has turned his fortunes around with a steady run of performances at right-back.
One of his best displays came in midweek as he netted the opening goal in United’s 9-0 win over Southampton at Old Trafford – a win which put United back on track in the Premier League.
United remain behind leaders Manchester City in the standings but Wan-Bissaka has been delighted by the response his side have given following a shock defeat to Sheffield United last week.
“Of course, [winning the Premier League is the target], and a few cups to go with that as well,” he told Sky Sports. “It would mean a lot, especially after the club’s history of winning trophies, and a lot of them. It would be good to get back to that.
“The mood in the camp has been good. It wasn’t great taking in the loss [to Sheffield United] but we haven’t let it get us down or our chances to get our hands on the Premier League.
“The team spirit is still high, as long as we stick together, we can go back to the form we had before.”
